The Tax Payers for Sensible Government (TSPG) Recall Committee collected 297 registered Brady voter signatures on a petition to recall Mayor Gail Lohn and 285 on a second petition to force the City Council to meet after work hours. Working under a short time deadline, TSPG members were able to collect more than the required 250 signatures and deliver them to City Secretary Christy Badilla by 5:00 PM Friday, Jan 25.

Once the signatures are verified as Brady registered voters, the two issue will appear on the May 11 city election ballot along with candidate names for the two open positions on the Brady City Council.

Candidates for the two City Council positions up for election must file before 5:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2013 to have their names on the ballot.

TPSG Candidate Committee Chairman Jim Wright is actively seeking candidates to run for the two City Council positions that are up for re-election. Several possible candidates have indicated an interest.

The TPSG Committee on City Charter, Comprehensive Plan and Ordinances organized and identified two important issues that were being considered by the City Charter Review Commission. The council will consider and act on Charter amendments in Special Session on Monday, January 28.
